People are upset by the "censorship" angle this approaches, but honestly? This should be considered a victory for humanity!

it's surrounding us.
arizona, nevada, cali.
it's coming for YOU.
p.s. my bro thinks he had swine flu after visiting Manhattan last week and having every single symptom.
Yippee!!

tempting, isn't it?
I can't even begin to tell you how great the temptation to not take class is. Part of me wants to sign on to route y and drop all of my classes with one little button.

Here we go again.
While looking at my schedule for next semester I noticed a slight discrepancy between my ballet, modern, and spanish classes.
They're all at the same exact time every day.
UGHHHHHHHHH.

oh my heart
Yeah yeah yeah...Grey's Anatomy isn't real medicine, whatever. But I'm watching the latest episode from this last week where a 6 year old girl is dying of some awful disease that kills little children and I'm bawling.
I'm ridiculous. But how do people do this for a living? Cameron's talked about Pediatric surgery--oh my GOSH! It's awful!
and just so dang sad :(

Finalized?
Pointe, Ballet Technique, and Spanish?
No class till 11?
Time to practice with partners in the morning?
Afternoons and evenings for working?
Could be a good couple of months.

there's just something about "summer"
I woke up at 6:30 to cars and trucks slowly beginning to make their way to whatever destination requires them to arrive at an earlier hour, and as I looked out my open window into the mountain that was gradually receiving light, I couldn't help but think. And when I REALLY woke up, about 15 minutes ago, I thought again.
The traditional ritual of the end of school ends when high school does. No more yearbooks to sign. No more lockers to clean out. No more teachers that you've spent an entire year with to say goodbye to. It's just not the same. You can avoid ever going to class in college, and theoretically no one would ever notice. The last week of school is full of parties and soda, celebratory signs and Risk (in AP History/Government, at least). And on that first day of freedom as everyone gathers in random orange couches, or just on the grass, split into their own circles, some groups silently demanding the others move in and out in order to get that signature from that one girl in that one group that's not your own--you all suddenly feel joined together for a few hours. This faux friendship you've created is born out of that innate desire we all feel. The desire to be a part of something, even if it's only for one last time. The nostalgia takes our minds for a ride and creates memories that in actuality were only mere passings in a hallway. But it doesn't matter, because school is ending, so who really notices anyway?
So when I walked out of the JSB last night at 8 p.m., finished for good, all I wanted was someone to celebrate with. All I wanted was to feel that relief that we made it through another "year". All I wanted was to get the giddy excitement at the pit of my stomach that would eventually manifest itself in dancing and screams with the rest of my foolishly giddy friends. I was sorely disappointed. While the gelato and random Neil Patrick Harris short movie were delicious in their own ways, I couldn't help feeling empty.
But then I woke up this morning. And never mind the fact that I'm going to be working two jobs. Never mind the fact that I'm going to be going to school both spring and summer terms. Never mind the fact that it's April and not the end of May, so it's still going to be raining.
The magic was pouring through my window with the cool morning air and my stomach was giddy and I could go back to bed and I'm meeting Erika for lunch and I have nothing to do all day and it feels like summer.
And I thought.
It's time to begin writing again.

*drum roll*
Well kids...
I made the 1 o'clock team! It goes 9/10 (Beginning), 1 (intermediate), Back-up Touring Team, and Tour.
I'm definitely excited, especially because I really like the director, Marci Edgington (side note: her daughter is the current Miss Provo and is going to be PHENOMENAL at Miss Utah, not even joking) and I've always wanted her for a director.
So yay!
I'm happy that I even got moved up...got a lot of work to do!

sometimes
You go about living life with the very best of intentions, only to discover that you've just been oblivious and clueless, hurting, disappointing, and frustrating others in the process.
just to put this out there
Twitter is stupid. Twitter is for those individuals that want their thoughts to be published but don't have the patience to write thoughts that span more than 2 sentences. Twitter is a waste of time. Twitter is changing Facebook and it makes me long for the good old days when you could only upload profile pictures and had to have a valid college e-mail address to join.
However.
I love John Mayer, his blogs, and yes, even his twitter.

ah love!
summer is creeping here, slowly perhaps...but it's trying.
so what do you think?
white?
or red?
suit found here.
spell check?
Come on people. It's not that hard. Honestly, so many blogs that come up in my google reader are filled with such atrocious errors (your instead of you're, to/too/two, except/accept, fill/feel [perhaps the most embarrassing of all] plus a few others that I don't dare put here for fear the writer will be exposed--I do try to keep anonymity). I'll try and forgive your horrendous sentence structure, but for the love...can you not learn how to spell?
no wonder seriously, so blessed has so much material to work with.
You college students/grads can't spell to save your lives...and you call yourselves educated?
Dearie me. Methinks some private universities aren't doing their jobs.
{clearly insomnia (yes, it has returned) makes me nit picky}

1 more reason I am glad to be a part of Miss America
I have many pageant friends that enjoy both, and I've been asked on numerous occasions if I would ever consider Miss USA.
Maybe.
But.
Not with judges like this, going off on the girls they just judged (and even forgetting who won. Maybe you shouldn't have been twittering so much and focused on actually watching the competition).
PURE WHITE TRASH.
Can't stand you, Perez, think you're a low-life person who only sends out negative energy in this world.
p.s. I agree with him. Her answer was RIDICULOUS. But I was raised differently than he clearly was.
Ya know.
With class.

My Sunday nap trumped Trump
but youtube never fails me.
I wonder what she's going to name this country of hers.
I *hate* Perez.
{also, the new winner is sister of Chad Michael "I'm a douche bag for cheating on my wife, Sophia Bush, with Paris Hilton" Murray's baby of a fiance.}

what do I take?
So I don't know if I've stated this in an online forum, but I'm trying out for the Dance major in the fall. I will remain a Humanities major, therefore I'm going to be a double major. It's going to be intense and a lot of work, but I love both of the disciplines too much to let one get away from me. But it makes scheduling extremely complicated. I'm nervous about not taking ballet during spring and summer because there's no way I would get into the dance major on ballroom alone and if I'm not taking a class with grades, I won't progress. I'm also going to be auditioning for the ballet performance company in August, so there again--without classes including barre and pointe work, I won't be prepared and this could be my only year to perform with the ballet company.
But I'm sick of not having a humanities course. I didn't have one this last semester and it drove me nuts. I attribute a lot of my inability to write to the lack of inspiration I'm feeling. Even dreamt about it last night.
Need.More.Art.Philosophy.Literature.Sculpture.PrettyThings.Stuff.That.Makes.Life.Worth.Living.
But even still, I have to start my language core. And yes, there's always the option of auditing, but if I want to move into 490 in the fall, then I need 2 terms of 390/391.
And let's not forget the fact that I desperately need a job (or two).
Help?

spring fever boredom
+My room is in a total shambles and yet I can't find the energy to get up off of my bed and put everything away. The thought of spending 2 hours folding laundry just turns me off...and then it piles up even more. Ugh.
+I still have nail polish on my bathroom floor from when I knocked the bottle off the counter way back in March during Nationals. Don't worry about it.
+Finals are going to be cake. Word.
+I love Mandy and I love Erika.
+I hate it when Cameron goes to LA to visit his family because apparently their neighborhood doesn't believe in cell phone reception.
+Zach and I have a date for the Rachmaninoff concert this weekend.
+According to my team, I'm the biggest flirt (nooooo, ya think?), I think I'm the most eligible bachelorette (don't you have to be, ummm, single for this one?), and I would sell a kidney to get moved up on team (okay, maybe).
+WRITER'S BLOCK. I need to start reading again.

one of those weeks
Last week of school. Finals are coming up. I have this annoying habit of holding the shift key down whenever typing something with an 'i' as the second letter. It's so obnoxious. This week is stressful. Not a lot of sleep. Especially when your room is the one room in the apartment that gets either a. too much heat or b. not enough air conditioning. Don't ask me how.
Yep, eloquence is not in the cards today.
COME SEE CONCERT.
The end.
